Digital Checklist

I had an interesting family come to see me today to talk to me about the problems they had about video games. With three children, each loved playing video games, and they didn't mind playing with each other, but the parents felt like they had no clue as to what the kids were doing. The dad admitted he didn't even know the names of the games they played.

I recommend that all families visit a site called GetGameSmart.com. It is a great site for kids, and parents to really learn and being talking about "Gaming."

One of the nice things that they have on their site is a quiz, called " Do you know your Gamer?" It has parents and kids spend 3 minutes asking each other different questions about each other to see how much you really know about each other's interests. For example, what is your kid's favorite video game? What was your parents favorite book what they were your age?

Most importantly GetGameSmart.com has a Parent Checklist that I require all of the parents that work with me to complete. It helps the parents keep track of all of the digital stuff they own and what limits the family has with all things that are digital. Check it out today.
